A Mental Health and De-Stigmatization Awarness Campaign
The Oxford dictionary describes a stigma as " A mark of disgrace associated with a particular circumstance, quality, or person " . Mental Health is and has been being stigmatized for as long as its been around. Common examples of stigmatizing against members of the mental health community include viewing them as people of lesser worth or value, the common assumption an individual is faking and or attention seeking, the belief they are possessed by the devil or an evil entity, ect. Now not everyone who stigmatizes has evil intent, most people may not even realize they're doing so. The main causes of stigmatization are lack of education / information, misinformation from media, restriction from educating due to cultural or religious beliefs.
